Mohammad SalemyFeedback Sessions

FEEDBACK SESSIONS, conducted by Mohammad Salemy, is a live format for producing, testing and confronting ideas in public. It brings thinkers and makers into the theatre to ask what happens when theory is no longer online or on the page but exposed to bodies, reactions, disagreements and consequences: ideas with political, technological and social effects beyond the stage.

The format grows out of &TNC The New Centre, an international platform for critical theory, philosophy and contemporary thought that has developed for more than a decade primarily through digital space. At Gorki this online infrastructure finds an analogue mirror. Bodies share a room, arguments meet resistance, and the audience becomes part of the production of knowledge.

Feedback, a term introduced by the engineer Harold Black in 1927 and later taken up by cybernetics, describes the return of a system's output to its own input. Here that loop becomes the form itself. Lectures, screenings and conversations unfold in real time, and what is said can be questioned, redirected or transformed by the room.

This shift from screen to stage is political. Digital platforms have radically expanded the circulation of knowledge, but they also mediate, filter and abstract the bodies that produce and receive it. FEEDBACK SESSIONS returns theory to a physical and public space, where knowledge becomes accountable to presence, disagreement and collective response.
